PMOG Down

Author: duncan | Filed under: Uncategorized

Around 20 minutes ago we experienced a disk error on our master database. We’re working hard to fix this with our hosting company, Engine Yard, and we’ll get the game back up and running just as quick as we can!

– Update (12:40 GMT): The website is now back up and we should be getting back to normal. There’s some more work to do in order to replace the disk, but we’ll aim to handle that with as little interruption as possible. Apologies for the downtime!

Men At Work

Author: duncan | Filed under: Maintenance

If only maintenance could be achieved through passive activites.

Alas, it cannot.

For some, Sunday mornings may be easy. For others, pie is the only thing that is easy. For us Trustees, though, we will be hard at work for a couple of hours this Sunday morning (9am – 11pm GMT, 1am – 3am PST).

You may experience some interruptions to your normal Pmogian existence, and for that we are apologetic. You should stay in bed, though, you really should.

Unscheduled Interruption

Author: joe | Filed under: Maintenance

If you’ve been trying to passively play PMOG in the past few hours, you may have noticed that things are going a little slow, or there has been an unwarranted onslaught of 500 errors.

Long story short, don’t ever try to mix a lightpost, mine, and St. Nick together.

As of 21:00 PST, 9 April 2008, a production server has been taken down to address the likely source of the aforementioned problems. A developer is currently working hard to troubleshoot and bring that server back online. Until then, a number of services may be unavailable or unusable.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to have the server back up soon.

We should be back in full strength — proceed with caution.
